Our weeks for Oaxaca for 2024 have ended, and it was SOO MUCH FUN! We are always looking for new and better experiences for our guests. Our Oaxaca weeks are much more activity-oriented, focused on food and art. We want you to experience the outstanding artisan work in the villages around Oaxaca and are always looking for the best way to do that.
We now visit Mexico’s most celebrated folk art candlemaker, Doña Viviana Alávez. We met Doña Vivana and learned about her family story and wonderful spirit as she keeps her 300-year-old tradition alive.

Witness these traditions like many others in Mexico before they are no longer with us. Dona Viviana explained how hard it is to keep her traditions alive, which is one of the reasons why she still produces her ornate candles herself into her late 70s.
What are you waiting for? Make sure your space is available! Cook with the #1 Chef in Oaxaca, Alex Ruiz, in the wood-fired kitchen at his country retreat, learn about the time-honored weaving process with Maestro Nelson, try artisan coffee at Oaxaca’s only regional coffee producer, Café Brujula, and did I mention you will cook all of these incredible Oaxacan dishes yourself with Chef Ana at your side in a beautiful house?
We have just announced our Oaxaca weeks for 2025. There are only three weeks this year, and we don’t know if we will continue to do our Oaxaca weeks in 2026. This may be your last chance. Don’t miss it! If you want to participate in this incredible experience, reserve your space now.
