Yes. All rooms have en suite bathrooms/showers at La Villa Bonita in Tepoztlan and also in the properties outside of our facility.
We are located in the original “Pueblo Magico” of Tepoztlan in our specially-designed culinary retreat on the upslope of the Tepozteco valley. While we have special weeks outside of our home facility in Puerto Escondido (Feb/March) and Puebla (September/October), 75% of our year takes place in our home facility. We are open year round with the exception of July when we rest!
No. The itineraries are with food are intended to give you a general idea of how the week works. There will be modifications due to seasonality and also the interests of our guests. We reserve the right to make changes to the menu to suit our guests and what is locally available. If you have a dish that you would like to do, please let us know and we would be happy to try and accommodate your desires during the week. Some weeks have a particular theme such as whole hog, Christmas, healthy Mexican/yoga and there will be a certain focus with the menu for that week.

Our first responsibility is to get our guests to the airport on time and be in the airport at the pickup hour. We cannot pick up guests at other places in Mexico City because the city is very large and that may preclude us completing our duties of successful airport pickup and return. Uber, however, is very good, reliable and inexpensive in Mexico City. If you are arriving early in Mexico City, we will inform you of a time and place to meet at the airport. Also if you are staying longer as well you can take and Uber to your desired destination. If you are our only guests that week we may be able to take you to your hotel but that will only be known as we get closer to the date.
Mexico has the same type of electric current and connections as in the US and Canada. If you are coming from Europe, you may need to bring your converter.
You do not need to bring any cooking utensils. You will be also provided an apron. We do a lot of walking so sensible shoes for walking on cobblestones is a must. Also please bring a hat to shade you from the sun and perhaps sunscreen. We do not have any formal meals that would require formal dinner attire. Everything is pretty relaxed. We will send you an email prior to your arrival with specific recommendations for things to bring and not bring.
Flights are not included but airport pickup and return is. Please check the specifics of each tour to see how to make our shuttle. We will give you specific details on how to meet at the airport for pickup.
You can contact us by filling out the “book” form that is located on each page. We will contact you and inform you of your payment options. You can also call us at +1-631-994-3436 US at any time but we prefer that you first contact us by filling out the email form so that you are registered in our system.
We do not allow cancellations or refunds of any amounts paid. However, if something comes up, you can change your date once subject to availability without penalty. Please let us know as soon as possible so that we can attempt to fill your space in the program. You can also wait and let us know later what date you would like. If you would like to switch to a more expensive package, you will receive a credit against the more expensive package. If you choose a lesser expensive package, you will maintain credit with us to use on a future visit.
